Nubian Events Celebrates 50 Years of Iconic Black Hair

So Friday saw BnnGirls attend Nubian Events Dinner and Show depicting iconic afro hairstyles from the last 50 years. Hosted by Henry Bonsu who talked us through braids and beads to fros and puffs. Naming influential and political black men and woman such as Angela Davis, to today's Lauren Hill and Janelle Monáe.

The models with event organiser Mimi Traore

The creatives From Left to right, fashion designer Nkwo, Hair stylist Morris Roots who specialises in locks and natural hair and show producer and hair stylist Angela Plummer

We were served an amazing 4 course dinner of Sashimi, beef in peppercorn sauce and finished off with a delicious coconut sorbet, passion fruit cream, and chocolate spring rolls.

We would like to thank Mimi Traore from Nubian Eventsfor throwing such an inspirational event with amazing people.
